Day Eight
The day started with a tour of the Waterford Crystal Factory. I was able to witness the ancient skills of the local craftsmen as they carefully turn molten glass into the most exquisite crystal. Then we were taken on a walking tour of Waterford where our tour guide brought the towns history alive. Lastly we visited Enniscorthy, site of some of the fiercest fighting of the 1798 uprising, before geting back to Dublin in time for some last minute sightseeing.
Waterford
The town of Waterford was pretty nice, its a fishing village right on the water with classic buildings and Pubs. The photo above is of our tour guide. He was one of the best historiens I have ever heard. He really did seem to bring ther history of the city alive as we walked through the town.
